PowerShift Summit 2024 welcomed over 500 participants – industry leaders, government representatives, sustainability experts, and tech innovators – for two days of open discussions about the future of energy.

Organized by RWEA and RPIA, with the support of WindEurope, SolarPower Europe, AmCham Romania, Concordia, AFEER, and ACUE, the summit served as a key meeting point for stakeholders in the energy transition, bringing into focus topics such as investments, energy infrastructure, and the role of technology in transforming the sector.

The first day focused on renewable energy, investments, and grid modernization. Under the patronage of the Government of Romania, and with the participation of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of European Funds, and various diplomatic missions, the discussions brought together companies such as PPC Renewables, Vestas, OMV Petrom, Engie, E.ON, and OX2. They addressed market challenges, investment flows, and grid stability. Workshops covered topics including energy prices, financing solutions, storage, and recycling.

The second day highlighted large industrial consumers and the digital transformation of the energy sector. Representatives from the European Commission, European Parliament, BusinessEurope, European Aluminium, as well as tech companies like UiPath, Bento, and Cluster Power were present. Discussions centered on decarbonization, competitiveness, and the role of technology – from artificial intelligence to data centers and cloud solutions. Workshops focused on the connection between producers and consumers, investment trends in renewable energy, and the future of offshore wind energy.
