RWEA and RPIA co-organized the fourth edition of the Green Finance Workshop, with the support of BCR and Vlăsceanu & Partners. Under the title “Green Finance Unlocked: A Competitiveness Roadmap”, the event brought together authorities, financial institutions, and industry representatives to discuss the role of green financing in accelerating Romania’s energy transition.

The agenda covered topics such as the evolution of green financial instruments, current challenges regarding grid and capital access, the upcoming CfD round, and new energy efficiency schemes for large consumers. Discussions also focused on project bankability, with emphasis on PPA guarantees and support for storage solutions.

Representatives from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, the Competition Council, EIB, EBRD, EY, IFC, and the private sector participated, offering valuable insights into aligning local efforts with European competitiveness and reindustrialization goals.

The event highlighted Romania’s increasingly important role in the regional energy transition and the need for collaboration, coherence, and targeted investments to build an attractive and sustainable renewable energy market.
