Study: EVALUATION OF STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE RENEWABLES SECTOR IN ROMANIA- Analysis of the Romanian transmission grid development RWEA, with the help of DNV and in collaboration with Transelectrica, conducted a study identifying Romania’s technical and regulatory needs for the integration of more renewable energy in context of the energy transition process. The project comprises the comparison of the RES scenarios implemented in the Romanian TYNDP with the official renewable energy sources scenarios documented by the National Energy and Climate Plan, the evaluation of the adequacy of the transmission grid measures and flexibility measures identified in the TYNDP. Finally, financial options and the regulatory policy are proposed in order to facilitate the realization of required grid and flexibility related measures.
