On June 16, RWEA organized the 8th edition of the Wind Open Day, bringing together over 150 participants — students, authorities, local community members, journalists, and industry experts — on the construction site of the VIFOR wind farm, one of Romania’s most ambitious renewable energy projects.

VIFOR, developed by Rezolv Energy, will be able to power up to 270,000 households and generate approximately 300 jobs during the construction phase, contributing to Romania’s goal of reaching 6.5 GW of installed wind capacity by 2028.

The event was more than just a site visit — it was a hands-on demonstration of how education, innovation, and youth engagement can accelerate the energy transition. The presence of the Minister of Energy highlighted the importance of involving young people and developing specialized skills for Romania’s energy transition.
