The 7th edition of Wind Open Day offered the general public a new opportunity to discover wind energy beyond theory – through hands-on experiences, open dialogue, and cutting-edge technologies. Organized by RWEA together with Vestas Romania, the event brought together students, young engineers, volunteers, industry partners, and journalists in an educational and interactive setting.

Hosted at the Vestas service center in Mihail Kogălniceanu, the program included guided tours, technical demonstrations, and Q&A sessions with industry specialists. Participants had the chance to gain a clear understanding of how wind turbines work, what their maintenance involves, and what career opportunities the renewables sector can offer.

Vestas Romania, a leader in wind maintenance services, currently operates a fleet of over 1.4 GW and is developing new projects such as Vifor (192 MW), while also expanding its network of service centers. Through initiatives like this, the company actively contributes to the professionalization of the sector and brings the public closer to the energy transition.
